Rail rambles are supported by Arriva Trains Wales and are organised by a number of individual members from local branches of the Ramblers Association.

Walk programmes are produced by Cheryl Johnston twice yearly. Cheryl then works with Marion Law to obtain a final printed programme. Once the walks program has been worked out Chris Jenkins sends maps to all walk leaders so that each walk can be checked out. Sometimes the process is reversed and walk leaders send maps for new walks to Chris and these become part of the stored of walk maps. When the walks programme is complete Mike Downward copies the details on to the programme and long walks pages of this web site. Email contact with organisers is possible with addresses of the form name@railrambles.com when name is replaced by marion, cheryl, chris or mike.
